This artist book by Jonas Esteban Isfält manifests a striking consistency in the approach instrumented when dealing with the subject matter and the book object.

There is excessive care in the production of this publication. The selection of the paper, the tactility of the printed matter and the ritual of accessing the content gift the imagery, essentially snaps from the street view mode, an entirely new atmosphere and dynamics.

And it feels only appropriate when speaking about an uneventful suburban town, famous for having “the largest collection of Moorish Revival architecture in the Western Hemisphere”.

This publication, being an observation of a mundane cityscape that can only be grasped by looking closely at evert part of the sum, becomes an object whose value is inseparable from every subtle detail, love testament to the art of book making.
